Location: MWR NASP Aquatics

To provide administrative assistance and coordinate personnel and payroll activities to insure the smooth operation of the Aquatics Department. The incumbent receives from the manager a variety of formal and informal correspondence related to activities and is responsible for the accuracy of the correspondence. Maintains set of office files in accordance with the NDS and performs searches for information as necessary. Sorts incoming mail and distributes to action addresses, assembles materials as required. Reviews and controls outgoing mail. Receives visitors and telephone calls and directs them to the proper person. Provides information regarding services and facilities. Reproduces various materials and is responsible for the operation of a FAX machine. Receives incoming checks/money and prepares DARs. Maintains the supply room and initiates requests for supplies as necessary. Performs personnel clerical duties including; coordinating day to day personnel services for NAF facilities.
Requirements: Knowledge of general office functions and the various aspects of recreational operations, including knowledge of the manuals and directives governing such operations. Must be a qualified typist, capable of 40 words per minute. Must have knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuations, etc. and a knowledge of normal format, forms, and common terminology are required. Must have general knowledge of personnel and payroll policies and procedures and the organization rules, regulations and policies governing the type of transactions being dealt with. Must have general knowledge of lifeguard, CPR, First Aid and WSI (water safety instruction). This position also requires considerable tact and diplomacy in dealing with managers, employees and the general public. Must possess a CPR certification.

Operates motor vehicles for the collecting, processing, and delivering of recyclable materials in connection with the base recycling program. Operates and maintains various motor vehicles including forklifts up to 20,ooo lbs., step vans, pick-up trucks, stake bed trucks, and passenger vans. Operates vehicles and towing equipment to collect recyclable materials on base, in all weather conditions. On base travel includes the same traffic conditions as off base travel. Frequently loads and unloads cargo at loading docks with minimum maneuvering space. Responsible for insuring all cargo carried in vehicles and trailers is properly loaded, unloaded, and secured for transport. Assists in performing duties in connection with collection, identification, segregation, and storage of recyclable materials to include paper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans, steel cans, and other non-hazardous materials considered recyclable on and off base. instructions.
Must have and/or be able to obtain/retain a valid state issued class “D” drivers license.
